DIGITAL CAMERA: THE FUTURE OF CAMERAS

Basically a digital camera is a device used to capture pictures without the use of films. Unlike the conventional camera, the digital camera does not rely on mechanical and chemical processes. It has a built in computer and records the images it captures in an electronic form.

Having and operating one does not even require the use of electricity. Since the images that a digital camera captures is in electronic form, it is a language recognized by computers. This language is called pixels, tiny colored dots represented by ones and zeros that make up the picture that you just took. Just like any conventional cameras, a digital camera is furnished with a series of lenses that focus the light and creates the image that you want to capture. The difference here is then; a conventional camera focuses its light on a film while a digital camera focuses the light into a semiconductor device that electronically records the light.

Black and White Photography Tips

Black And White

Was A Good Learning Device

When taking pictures there are many effects that can be accomplished through lighting and composition and the use of color in pictures is the most common. Yet, some of the most dramatic effects as well as pictures with stark representations can be better rendered through black and white photography.

While the term itself may be a misnomer due to the wide range of grey scale available black and white photography has lost a lot of its appeal except for a few true believers in producing their own effects. Only 50 years ago black and white photography was the most common among amateur photographers and those just learning would use black and white film due to the drastic difference in price with color film. Many people that began a hobby in

also processed their own negatives and prints and the three-step process for film and prints was inexpensive and easy, whereas color developing required many more resources than most hobbyists were willing to commit to. Photography Continues To Grow

As Favorite Hobby Since 1888 when George Eastman advertised his new camera was so simple that all the user had to do was push the button, photography landed in the hands of the general public.

His development of roll film and the Kodak camera and contrary to many beliefs, the word Kodak was made up by Eastman, based only on his feeling that the letter ‘K’ was a strong letter and he wanted a word that started and ended with one. It was not long until his confidence in advertising saw the familiar word Kodak in red on a yellow background. Since the earliest days of glass plates with wet emulsions through the growth of roll films and today’s digital photography it has enabled virtually everyone the opportunity to take pictures to create their own personal record of their life as well as that of their family and friends. It is one of the most popular hobbies in the world and several have established businesses based on the need for professional photography. For more information, please visit: http://www.adsphere1.com/photography/index.php
